This research analyzes translation strategy and acceptability assessment of idioms in The Witcher Series 1st season. The aim of this research Is to find what are the translation strategies used and how is the acceptability of the translation. This research used Mona Baker’s idiom translation strategies and Rochayah Machali’s translation quality assessment. This research used qualitative method and the data are collected using documentation technique by watching, noting, identifying and classifying the idioms in The Witcher series. The collected data are classified into 2 categories based on what idiom translation strategy were used and then into 5 categories based on the translation quality assessment. There are 5 assessment categories, which are A (almost perfect), B (really well), C (good), D (sufficient), and E (insufficient). The discussion shows that the total of 152 idioms are translated using only 2 strategies, which are paraphrasing the idiom or omitting it. Furthermore, the quality assessment reveal that from 152 idioms, 103 idioms scored A, 30 idioms scored B, 7 idioms scored C, 5 idioms scored D, and 5 idioms scored E. The result shows that the most of the idiom’s translations are acceptable
