The study examines the interscetional discrimination experienced by queenie in the novel entitled queenie (2019) by Candice Williams. The discussion will focus on how the intersectional discrimination between race, gender and social class that queenie experience was depcited in the novel and how those discrimination experience impacts on her self esteem. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method and applying a concept of intersectionality by Kimberly Crenshaw to see queenie's experience of discrimination as a whole. The paper argues that the main female character in the novel experiences the intersection of discrimination between race, gender, social class in the form of negative judgement or prejudice, ignorance, stereotypes and being treated as a sexual object for men pleasure and understimate her because of her social status. These overlaping discriminiation that queenie experience has ruined her self - esteem and the way she see herself as a black woman.
