The title of this thesis is Permi's Rejection of the Illegal School Ordinance of 1932-1933, which aims to find out one of the policies of the Dutch East Indies government in 1932 which regulates illegal school education. This discussion is very important because the education provided by the Dutch was not sufficient to fulfill the people's desire for independence, besides the existence of private schools aimed at teaching national values. Therefore, the Dutch government imposed supervision on private schools, thereby inviting rejection from the Permi political party.
The method used in this study is a qualitative method and this writing is descriptive-analytical with the process of describing the study of past events. Meanwhile, to obtain the author's source using a literature review method. The theory used is the policy theory of various political groups. The Dutch government as the leader of the people has the power to instill policies for private education.
The result of this research is the rejection of Permi (Indonesian Muslim Association) against the Wild School Ordinance. The Wild School Ordinance issued by the Dutch East Indies government on 17 September 1932 required teachers who wished to teach in unsubsidized private schools to obtain written permission from the regional head. Then Permi took a refusal (Algemeene Actie) to refute the Wild School Ordinance which was considered contrary to Islamic and humanitarian principles. Finally, on February 13, 1933, the Dutch East Indies government suspended the Wild School Ordinance of 1932 for one year and replaced it with a new decree. The regulation is considered more moderate than the previous regulation because it only requires teachers to tell their intentions when they want to teach.
