This research focus on the translation strategy of sex-related language applied in the Adultery novel by Paulo Coelho in 2014 and its translation by Rosi L. Simamora in 2015. The objective of this research is to find out the sex-related language contained in the Adultery novel and its translation according to sex-related language definition and to analyze the translation strategy of sex-related language used by the translator based on Mona Baker’s theory. The researcher reads the original version and its translation, marks the selected data, writes them in a piece of paper, classified the sex-related language based on its definition, and analyses them based on the theory. There are ten data has been chosen by researcher to discover what kind of sex-related language contains in the Adultery novel, and how does translator deals with sex-related language. The result indicates there are three kinds of sex-related language that often used in Adultery novels such as sexual organs, sexual characteristics, and sexual activity.Moreover, there is five translation strategy used by the translator; three data translated by using loan word translation strategy, one data translated by paraphrase using unrelated word translation strategy, two data translated using less expressive word translation strategy, one data translated using more general word translation strategy, one data translated by paraphrase using the related word, and two data translated without using translation strategy. From this research, the researcher suggests the translator be more pay attention to the translation strategy. Because of the mistakes in choosing a translation strategy can make a bad impression on the translation novel
